Maine Coon Mania
My new obsession: MAINE COONS
During my last week in LA, my neighbor brought her cat over. It had a temperament like a dog, and was the size of a small Collie. It’s ginormous eyes peered around and it covered half of the little lady’s body when it sat contently on her lap. According to the internet (which is like the gospel) Maine Coon’s have a dog-like temperament, can be walked, play fetch and are about twice as large as the average cat.
I randomly found this lady’s Maine Coon blog and rad Maine Coon pic:

These cool cats are related of Norwegian Forrest cats, and are native to New England. Because only the strongest and largest survived the harsh winters of the east coast they turned into baby tigers. The Maine Coon name stems from their appearance and location. They are from Maine and have a poufy raccoon-like tail.

I’ve been looking at local shelters for Maine Coon kittens and have left weirdo messages on animal shelters’ answering machines. I’m starting on my cat lady status early.
